Srinagar: Two soldiers were killed in a terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir. On Saturday, a clash occurred between security forces and militants in Anantnag in southern Kashmir. The army reported that two soldiers lost their lives and one was injured in the attack.

The encounter also resulted in injuries to two villagers. Militants fired on the soldiers in the mountainous region of Kokernag Ahlaan Gadola. During a search operation by a joint security team in the forested area, the militants opened fire. This is the second major clash in the region within a year. Last year, a similar encounter with militants in the area resulted in the deaths of a military major, a deputy police superintendent, and two soldiers.
