Thiruvananthapuram: The CPM will investigate the allegations raised by MLA P.V. Anwar against the Chief Minister’s political secretary and CPM state committee member P. Sasi. The issues will be discussed in the next CPM state secretariat meeting. On Wednesday morning, Anwar had a meeting with CPM state secretary M.V. Govindan. Anwar also submitted a detailed complaint about the allegations to the state secretary. Following this, CPM has clarified that the allegations against P. Sasi will be examined.
“The allegations raised by P.V. Anwar MLA against some police officials are serious. The Chief Minister and the government are taking a stringent stance on this matter. The Chief Minister has stated that strong actions will be taken after investigating the allegations. Anwar’s statements are based on his findings and experiences. There is no mistake in what he said. None of these issues affect the LDF. Allegations against the Chief Minister’s political secretary will also be examined. Strong action will be taken against those found guilty,” said TP Ramakrishnan, LDF Convenor, on CPM’s official Facebook page.
Anwar stated that the CPM state secretary M.V. Govindan has received his complaint regarding the allegations he raised. Anwar was speaking to the media after meeting the state secretary. “He asked me some questions, which I answered. I provided a copy of the complaint given to the Chief Minister to the party secretary as well. The remaining matters will be decided by the government and the party,” Anwar said.
