Indian Cricketer Sanju Samson Acquires Shares in Malappuram FC, Team Shows Strong Performance Under New Leadership

Date:

Kochi: Indian cricketer Sanju Samson has acquired shares in Malappuram FC, the club officials officially announced. There had been earlier reports suggesting that Sanju would join hands with Malappuram FC.

Sanju expressed his interest in collaborating with the team, which led to the acquisition. Former England footballer John Charles Gregory is the head coach of the team.

The team, coached by former England footballer John Charles Gregory, showcased more organized gameplay, especially under the guidance of experienced international and Indian players. Notably, Spanish player Pedro Manzi, who scored a goal and assisted another, and playmaker Joseba Beitia were standout performers.

The relatively young Kochi team struggled early in the match and couldn’t make a comeback. Even the experienced Brazilian player Rafael Augusto couldn’t guide the team. As a new team, Kochi’s lack of cohesion was evident. Fasilur Rahman’s cross to Uruguayan striker Manzi led to a chance. With five minutes left in the first half, Kochi conceded a second goal. Manzi’s header was received by Fasilur Rahman, who directed it into the net.

Malappuram FC put on an impressive performance throughout the match. The team, led by former Indian defender Anas Edathodika, played with great coordination. Englishman John Gregory is the coach of Malappuram FC.
