Music Director Mohan Sithara Claims BJP Membership Was Taken Lightly

Date:

Thrissur: Music director Mohan Sithara has stated that his membership in the BJP was taken without understanding its significance. The BJP Thrissur District Committee issued a press release on September 2, announcing his joining.

Mohan Sithara expressed, “I have sincere friends in all political parties. However, I cannot work from the front or back in any one of them because I do not know politics.”

He mentioned that a friend had called him days earlier to suggest that he take membership. Believing it wouldn’t be a big deal, and without realizing its gravity, he agreed. Subsequently, they came to his studio, honored him with a shawl, and presented him with a token of appreciation. “That is all that happened that day. Most politicians often visit my home. I sometimes attend cultural events invited by everyone, as it is my moral duty as an artist. I can only be a part of the public community with different political backgrounds.

I kindly request that my friends who came to congratulate me and others in different party politics recognize my helplessness. I am someone who has lived quietly, focusing solely on music and including everyone in society. Please do not drag me into unnecessary discussions,” he urged.

He concluded his statement by saying, “I respectfully end this topic here. I cannot engage in further discussions as I have nothing more to explain.”
