Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition Leader VD Satheesan has alleged that the Chief Minister was aware of the disturbances caused during the Thrissur Pooram festival. He demanded a judicial inquiry into the incidents. Satheesan criticized that placing the ADGP in charge makes the investigation a mockery. “Isn’t it Devakumar’s son who said that he needed to give an interview to the national media? If that’s the case, the PR department should be dissolved. Will you file a case against The Hindu for publishing matters that were not stated?” the opposition leader questioned.
“The Chief Minister is lying idle and rolling around. He has not provided clear answers to any major questions—only laughter. The information given to the PR department on September 13 and what was said at the press conference on September 21, as well as what was published in The Hindu, are all the same. The narrative was distributed to implement the agenda of the Sangh Parivar. The primary duty of the ADGP is coordination with the Sangh Parivar,” VD Satheesan criticized.
