CPI Welcomes the Decision to Replace M.R. Ajith Kumar

Date:

Thiruvananthapuram: In response to the removal of ADGP M.R. Ajith Kumar from his position overseeing law and order, CPI State Secretary Binoy Vishwam welcomed the decision, stating that it represents a political victory for the LDF. “As soon as it was brought to my attention that the ADGP had met with RSS leaders, I mentioned that he should be replaced. The CPI’s demand has been fulfilled,” he said. When asked if the action was delayed, Binoy Vishwam stated that the question was irrelevant.

“The government in Kerala has a political foundation that is opposed to RSS politics. One of the key responsibilities of the government is maintaining law and order. When it comes to light that an officer in charge of that responsibility met with RSS leaders under ambiguous circumstances twice, the leftist government must respond, and this action is that response,” Vishwam added.

The CPI had been vocal about the need to replace M.R. Ajith Kumar from the very beginning. The government’s decision to remove the ADGP just before the assembly session on Monday reflects the pressure from the CPI. Leaders such as K. Prakash Babu, V.S. Sunil Kumar, and Minister K. Rajan had previously called for the ADGP’s removal.
