Rahul Mamkoottathil Launches Election Campaign in Palakkad with Road Show

Date:

Palakkad: The UDF candidate from Palakkad, Rahul Mamkoottathil, has kicked off his election campaign. He was welcomed with a road show by workers when he arrived in Palakkad on Thursday evening. Shafi Parambil, the MP from Vadakara, and PK Firoz, the Youth League president, were also present with Rahul. UDF workers from various parts of the district participated in the roadshow. Rahul expressed that there is no lack of confidence. He mentioned that he has received various encouraging pieces of information from different parties. Shafi Parambil also stated that Rahul Mamkoottathil’s majority will cross five digits. “It is the trust of the people of Palakkad. The people of Vadakara chose him out of their liking. There is no need for intermediaries to interact and communicate with them. Do not drag Uman Chandy’s name into political controversies,” Shafi Parambil remarked.

Earlier, the UDF decided to deploy many workers for the campaign to counter the allegations made by P. Sarin, who left Congress due to contention over the candidacy. Meanwhile, in response to P. Sarin’s allegations, Opposition Leader VD Satheesan questioned how they could nominate someone who is in consultation with the CPI(M).
