Palakkad By-election Rescheduled Due to Kalpathi Ratholsavam; Other Elections Unchanged
The date for the by-election in the Palakkad constituency in Kerala has been changed, considering the Kalpathi Ratholsavam festival. The voting has been rescheduled to November 20. The election, originally set for November 13, was postponed following requests for a change. November 13 marks the first day of the Kalpathi Ratholsavam, and political parties had earlier approached the Election Commission requesting that the voting not be held between November 13 and 15 due to the festival.
However, elections for the Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency and the Chelakkara Assembly constituency will proceed as scheduled on November 13.
