Chennai: The much-awaited Netflix documentary Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale, which explores the life and career of South Indian superstar Nayanthara and her marriage to director Vignesh Shivan, is set to release on November 18. However, controversy has arisen as actor, producer, and director Dhanush has sent a legal notice demanding ₹10 crore in compensation for the documentary.
Following the legal notice, Nayanthara took to social media with an open letter directed at Dhanush. In a lengthy three-page post, Nayanthara addressed Dhanush directly, expressing her disappointment. She mentioned that she was let down by Dhanush’s refusal to grant No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for the use of songs from the 2015 film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. Nayanthara also used the letter to shed light on the longstanding issues between them, revealing for the first time the nature of the problems that have persisted for over ten years.
