Malayalam Actor Meghnathan (60) Passes Away in Kozhikode

Kozhikode: Malayalam Actor Meghnathan (60) has passed away. He was undergoing treatment for a respiratory illness at a private hospital in Kozhikode when he breathed his last. Meghnathan was the son of actor Balan K. Nair and Sharada Nair. The funeral will be held at his residence in Shornur.

Meghnathan made his acting debut in 1983 with the film Astram, directed by P. N. Menon. He later went on to act in over 50 films, including notable roles in Panchagni, Chenkol, Ee Puzhayum Kadannu, Oru Maravathoor Kanavu, Vasanthi and Lakshmi, Pinne Njano, and Chandranudikkunna Dikhil. He was particularly known for playing villainous roles. His portrayal of the character Keerikkadan Sunny in Chenkol gained significant attention.

In addition to Malayalam films, Meghnathan also appeared in Tamil cinema and acted in several TV serials. His most recent role was in the series Kooman, where he acted alongside Asif Ali, who played the lead role.
