Kochi: There is a division within the AMMA organization regarding the mass resignations. A faction within AMMA has stated that the decision to resign was not made unanimously. They claim that only 13 people officially resigned along with Mohanlal. It is also said that Tovino Thomas, Ananya, Sarayu, and Vinu Mohan did not resign.
Executive Committee member Sarayu Mohan told the media that not everyone from the governing committee has resigned. “I have not yet submitted my resignation to the committee. This was the stance taken in the AMMA meeting as well. There were differing opinions regarding the mass resignation,” Sarayu said.
She further stated, “It was not a press conference that should have been addressed by AMMA alone. It should have been conducted together with other members of the film industry as well.”
