Malayalam Cinema Shines Bright at 2022 National Film Awards: Aattam and Saudi Vellakka Lead the Way

Nithya Menon and Mansi Parekh Named Best Actresses, Rishab Shetty Wins Best Actor Awards

New Delhi: Malayalam cinema is basking in renewed glory. When the 2022 National Film Awards were announced, Aattam was chosen as the Best Feature Film, and Saudi Vellakka was selected as the Best Malayalam Film. The Best Actress award was shared between Malayalam actress Nitya Menon and Mansi Parekh. Kantara, which garnered critical acclaim, was also awarded multiple honors.

These awards mark the 70th National Film Awards. Films that were censored between January 1, 2022, and December 31, 2022, were considered for the awards.
