Kollam: The CPM (Communist Party of India (Marxist)) has taken the stance that MLA Mukesh does not need to resign over the sexual allegations against him. The party’s current position is based on the fact that UDF (United Democratic Front) MLAs did not resign over similar accusations. Therefore, the party is not demanding Mukesh to step down from his MLA position at this time. However, it is reported that Mukesh might voluntarily step down from the Film Policy Formation Committee.
Serious allegations have been raised against Mukesh by junior artist Minu Munir. She stated that she first met Mukesh on the set of the movie “Calendar.” Mukesh had a flat in Vyttila and invited her there. She also mentioned that during the filming of Viji Thampi’s movie “Natakame Ulakam,” Mukesh was staying in the adjacent room. He knocked on her door, entered, and forcefully threw her onto the bed. Minu claimed she quickly escaped from the situation.
On another occasion, while traveling to a location in a car with Mukesh, he allegedly inappropriately touched her, including her private parts. Minu stated that she threatened to jump out of the car, at which point Mukesh stopped the vehicle and apologized. Minu also alleged that Mukesh intervened to reject her membership application to the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) as retaliation for resisting his advances.
