Allegation of ₹100 Crore Bribe to LDF MLAs; Thomas K. Thomas Denies Charges

Date:

Thiruvananthapuram: It has been alleged that the BJP ally NCP promised ₹50 crore each to Kerala MLAs K. Kunjumon and Antony Raju to join the Ajit Pawar faction. Antony Raju is a former minister and the only MLA from the Democratic Kerala Congress, while K. Kunjumon is a leader of the RSP-Leninist.

Reports suggest that the Chief Minister raised the bribery allegations at the CPM secretariat. It is said that the Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan, questioned both MLAs about the matter after learning of the bribery offer. The incident reportedly occurred before the Lok Sabha elections, and Antony Raju clarified to Asianet News that he had informed the Chief Minister about everything. Meanwhile, K. Kunjumon has denied the ₹100 crore bribery allegation, stating that no offer was made and he will demand a comprehensive investigation from the Chief Minister.
