Kozhikode: Arjun’s family has come forward with serious allegations that Manaaf, the owner of a truck, is involved in the financial dealings related to Arjun. The family stated that they would take legal action if such actions continued. They accuse Ishwar Malpay and Manaaf of collusion during the third phase of the search. Arjun’s father Preman, mother Sheila, wife Krishnapriya, sisters Anju and Abhirami, brother Abhijith, and brother-in-law Jitin held a press conference.
Jitin told the media, “Due to some statements made by Manaaf in the media, the family is facing severe cyber attacks. The efforts of the governments of Karnataka and Kerala have led to Arjun’s rescue. Many are exploiting the family’s emotions and trying to market their sentiments. Anju has been targeted with cyber attacks. The family is being accused. A person falsely claimed that Arjun had a salary of 75,000 rupees. As a result, there have been serious attacks. Funds are being collected from various sources, which we do not need. They should stop exploiting our emotions.”
“Arjun being lost is a reality. There is no need for us to beg in this situation. That person should understand this. Even if they don’t help, they shouldn’t cause us additional pain. They are exploiting our poverty. May deserving people receive assistance. Some are bringing in money for media publicity,” accused Arjun’s wife, Krishnapriya.
Jitin alleged, “A group that came with Manaaf gave us 2,000 rupees, and they are publicizing that. They also claim that Manaaf repaired Arjun’s bike earlier, spreading this on YouTube. Our emotions should not be exploited. If this continues, we will respond. During the search phase, they exploited our mother’s emotions. Our mother’s reaction was broadcast live. She had mentioned health issues to them.”
“We stood without any shame where the search was happening. During the third phase of the search, Ishwar Malpay and Manaaf were acting. As a result, the first two days were lost. The MLA and the SP understood the situation. The SP said that if we filed a complaint, Manaaf could run away at that moment. They realized the facts. Manaaf has a YouTube channel, and their discussions were about viewer numbers,” Jitin alleged.
Manaaf responded, “Let them prove their allegations. What is wrong with starting a YouTube channel? Why criticize me before the pyre is lit? I haven’t done anything wrong. I haven’t collected any funds. I will post whatever I like on the YouTube channel. I will name my truck Arjun,” Manaaf replied.
