Date:

Shiroor, Karnataka: The search for Arjun, who went missing due to a landslide, has been temporarily suspended due to current circumstances. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has written a letter to Karnataka urging the state to continue the search efforts. The Chief Minister of Kerala has expressed appreciation for the search efforts from their side and has requested that the search continue until favorable results are achieved. He also emphasized the need to use modern technology and resources for the search.

At the same time, the search efforts led by diving expert Eshwar Malpe and his team have been concluded due to adverse weather conditions. The search was called off after finding nothing significant at the riverbed. Sateesh Krishna SAIL, the MLA from Karwar, stated that Eshwar Malpe, the Navy, and the NDRF teams had made maximum efforts. Heavy rainfall is affecting Shiroor, and strong currents were a significant challenge for the diving experts.

It has been confirmed that there is a truck at the bottom of the Gangavali River. According to the Uthara Kannada District Collector Lakshmipriya, the fourth signal obtained from the I-BOAT inspection has been confirmed to be from the truck. It is presumed that the truck is buried in mud about 132 meters from the riverbank. The Collector also mentioned that the presence of people inside the truck has not been confirmed, and the truck’s cabin is partially damaged.
