Thiruvananthapuram: Renowned literary critics Dr. K.S. Ravikumar and Asha Menon have been selected for significant literary awards by the P.K. Parameswaran Nair Memorial Trust. Dr. K.S. Ravikumar’s book Kadammanitta – Kavithayude Kanalattam has been selected for the prestigious P.K. Parameswaran Nair Memorial Award for biography. Meanwhile, Asha Menon’s Sanathana Dharmiyaya Maranam has earned the Prof. S. Gupthan Nair Memorial Award for Literary Criticism.
The awards were decided by a distinguished jury led by Dr. T.G. Madhavan Kutty, along with Dr. Anand Kavalam and Suja Kuruppu P.L. This recognition reflects the high literary caliber and scholarly depth of both works.
The awards will be presented during the 33rd Anniversary function of the Trust, which will be presided over by Dr. A.M. Unnikrishnan, the Trust President. The event will be inaugurated by Dr. Mohan Kunnummal, Vice Chancellor of Kerala University.
A discussion session will also be held on the topic of “Modern Cultural Theories.” Additionally, the trust will release reprints of its books ‘Katha Padanangal’ (Studies in Short Stories), ‘Kavita Padanangal’ (Studies in Poetry), and ‘Novel Padanangal’ (Studies in Novels).
