Building Collapse in Uttar Pradesh Claims 10 Lives

Lucknow: A multi-story building collapse in Uttar Pradesh has resulted in the tragic deaths of 10 people. The three-story building in Zakir Colony, Lohiyanagar, collapsed. Among the debris, 15 people were trapped, and all have been rescued. Five individuals have been admitted to the hospital with serious injuries.

The building collapse occurred late on Saturday night in Meerut. Heavy rainfall over the past few days is suspected to cause the collapse.

Sniffer dogs were used to locate the human presence amidst the rubble. The rescue operations were carried out jointly by the NDRF (National Disaster Response Force), SDRF (State Disaster Response Force), fire department, and police.
