President Murmu Highlights India’s Growth and Achievements on 77th Independence Day

New Delhi: On the occasion of the 77th Independence Day, President Droupadi Murmu addressed the nation. Reflecting on the sacrifices and achievements of the freedom fighters, she stated that India has become the largest democracy in the world.

India is also emerging as the third-largest economy. Farmers, who are the country’s food providers, play a significant role in building an Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India). They have made the country self-sufficient. She highlighted that women’s empowerment is a key asset for India, and that the Prime Minister’s development programs are reaching all sections of society. Development is occurring across all sectors. India has shone on the Olympic stage, and the dedication of athletes is commendable. India has become a formidable force in the sports sector. The nation is advancing in technologies, including artificial intelligence. The vision of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar to ensure social democracy is important, and the nation is progressing based on constitutional principles. President Murmu called for everyone to participate in the celebrations of the 77th Independence Day.
