Imphal: Violence continues unabated in Manipur. Yesterday, a former soldier and a woman were killed. Both were from the Kuki community. The victims were Neijahoi Lungdim, a woman, and Limkholal Mate, a former havildar of the Assam Regiment. Both were from Kangpokpi district.
Lungdim’s body, bearing bomb blast injuries, was found in front of a church in Tangbuh village, Kangpokpi, according to sources. Official sources reported that Mate had arrived in the Kuki-Meitei conflict zone on Sunday night.
