Thiruvananthapuram :Noted Malayalam writer M Mukundan has been selected for this year’s Malayattoor Award , the literacy prize constituted by Upasana Samskarika Samithi, a cultural organisation based in Thiruvannthapuram . The award is being given for his overall contributions to the language and literature. Dr. M.R.Thampan ,T.Omanakuttan Magna ( Novel), Unni Viswanath, Biju Purushothaman (Poetry ), K.Unnikrishnan ( Story ) are the other winners. The awards will be distributed by G.R.Anil, minister for food and civil Supplies at a function to be held in Thiruvannthapuram in July,2024, said Maranalloor Sudhi, secretary of Upasana Samskarika Samithi.
M. Mukundan, a prominent Indian writer, is renowned for his contributions to Malayalam literature.
