Assistant Director Mansoor Rasheed Arrested for Sexual Assault on Junior Artist

Date:

Kochi: Assistant Director Mansoor Rasheed has been arrested following a sexual assault complaint filed by a junior artist. The complaint alleges that Mansoor sexually assaulted her on the set of the film Bro Daddy. After surrendering at the Kukatpally Court in Hyderabad, he was recently taken into custody.

Mansoor has been remanded for 14 days and is currently held at the Kandi Jail in Sangareddy district. He had been hiding after both the Kukatpally Court and the Telangana High Court rejected his anticipatory bail plea. The Gachibowli police stated that they would oppose his bail application.

The actress filed a complaint alleging that Mansoor Rasheed, who was the assistant director of Bro Daddy during its shooting, sexually assaulted her. The Hyderabad police registered a case based on allegations that he assaulted her and recorded nude footage. The incident allegedly took place on August 8, 2021, during the film’s shoot in Hyderabad.

The complaint states that Mansoor drugged her and then assaulted her, and later blackmailed her with the nude footage to extort money. The victim initially reported the matter to FEFKA (Film Employees Federation of Kerala), but no action was taken, according to her statement.
