Thiruvananthapuram: The Cabinet has decided not to accept the recommendation to raise the pension age to 60. The recommendations of the Chief Secretary-led committee, formed to review the Fourth Administrative Reforms Commission’s proposals, were approved with amendments in the Cabinet meeting. The meeting also decided to merge KSR, KS, and SRS to form the Kerala Civil Service Code. The Administrative Reforms Department has been tasked with overseeing this process. Additionally, probation for both Subordinate and State Services will only be required once.
Regarding the Munambam issue, a report will be submitted within three months. Regarding the ownership issue at Munambam, the Judicial Commission, which was appointed under the Commission of Enquiries Act to recommend the government’s actions, has been asked to submit a report within three months. The matters for consideration of the Judicial Commission are being prepared by the Chief Secretary, as directed by Justice C.N. Ramachandran Nair, the Acting Chief Justice of the High Court. The Ernakulam District Collector has been entrusted with the responsibility of providing the necessary office and other systems for the Commission promptly.
