Ex-CPM Leader C.K.P. Padmanabhan Criticizes State Leadership, Blames Factionalism for Party’s Decline

Date:

Kannur: Former state committee member C.K.P. Padmanabhan has openly criticized the CPM state leadership. According to Padmanabhan, it is those who were expelled from the party who have brought the CPM to its current state. He stated that factionalism within the party had become a weapon for power struggles and claimed he was the victim of this situation. Padmanabhan made these remarks in an interview with a local channel in Kannur.

Padmanabhan expressed that people need to know the truth as he might not have much time left. He alleged that accusations against him were fabricated under the guise of factionalism and stated that he was on the side of the truth. He claimed that those who acted behind these moves are responsible for the party’s current situation.

Padmanabhan also mentioned that during financial hardships, models such as E.M.S. and ministers reducing their salaries were what people expected. He said that the complaint against P. Sasi could not be dismissed easily. This is the first time in 12 years that Padmanabhan has responded to the party’s actions.
