Governor Seeks Urgent Action on MLA P.V. Anwar’s Phone Tapping Allegations

Date:

Thiruvananthapuram: Governor Arif Mohammed Khan has sought urgent intervention regarding the allegations made by MLA P.V. Anwar. The Governor sent a letter to the Chief Minister, requesting a report on the matter. Raj Bhavan assessed that the phone tapping allegations raised by Anwar are extremely serious.

The MLA is alleging that phone calls, including those of ministers, are being tapped. The state is going through a highly critical situation. Anwar’s revelation admitting phone tapping is also considered serious. In the letter to the Chief Minister, the Governor asked for an explanation on what steps the government has taken in response to these shocking allegations.

Meanwhile, MLA P.V. Anwar has once again raised serious allegations against the Chief Minister’s political secretary, P. Sasi. Anwar accused P. Sasi of covering up an intelligence report that stated an ADGP had met with RSS leaders. Anwar told the media that this cover-up was done without the Chief Minister’s knowledge.

“P. Sasi did not fulfill the responsibilities entrusted to him by the party. The role of the political secretary is to be aware of the problems in the police and to inform the government. The LDF convener said that no complaint had been written. It will be written and submitted. A complaint will be lodged with the party secretary against P. Sasi within two days,” Anwar clarified.

Anwar also alleged that a case involving the arson of an ashram was sabotaged. “Without any need, the police have examined the CDR of Communist leaders. But in cases involving RSS leaders, the police were not willing to examine their CDR,” Anwar said.
