Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition Leader VD Satheesan has alleged a secret cabal within the Chief Minister’s Office, which is said to control the Home Department. Satheesan demands a CBI investigation into the matters raised by PV Anwar, asserting that only the tip of the iceberg has been revealed so far. He claims that the real, more severe issues have been orchestrated by this “cabal.” According to Satheesan, the Chief Minister’s Office has become a haven for criminals.
He questioned whether any previous Chief Minister of Kerala has faced such allegations, and if any Chief Minister in India has been accused in this manner. Satheesan asked if there is anyone in the CPI(M) with the courage to question this situation, stating that everyone seemed to be fearful. He added that the opposition is demanding the Chief Minister’s resignation and a CBI inquiry.
Satheesan challenged the Chief Minister to refute the allegations made by PV Anwar, suggesting that Anwar’s claims are baseless and lack substance. He emphasized that the accusations are not just from an opposition MLA but from a ruling party MLA, raising questions about whether the CPI(M) will take action against Anwar. He further stated that if the allegations had come from the opposition, they would likely have been dismissed outright.
He also highlighted various serious allegations against the Chief Minister’s Office, including murder, corruption, asset accumulation, gold smuggling, and gold theft. Satheesan criticized the Kerala government as being disgraceful to the nation. He reiterated that the current allegations involve the Chief Minister’s Office and that the person responsible for maintaining law and order is allegedly involved in these activities, with support from the Chief Minister’s Political Secretary, who is also a CPI(M) leader. Satheesan asserted that the Chief Minister cannot evade responsibility in this matter.
