Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended Onam greetings to Malayalis. Modi conveyed his wishes in Malayalam through a post on X (formerly Twitter).

“Happy Onam to everyone. May peace, prosperity, and well-being prevail everywhere. This festival, celebrating Kerala’s rich culture, is eagerly celebrated by the Malayali community worldwide.
Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan has also extended heartfelt Onam wishes to Malayalis across the globe.
” The true essence of Onam lies not in the grandeur of the celebrations, but in the message of hope it conveys. As we renew the memory of an era of equality through Onam, it inspires us to build such a society. Let us spread the loving message of Onam, a festival of mental unity beyond caste and religious differences, across the world,” said the Governor.
