Shornur: Four sanitation workers from Tamil Nadu were tragically killed when the Kerala Express, traveling from Delhi to Thiruvananthapuram, struck them. The deceased have been identified as Lakshmanan, Valli, Rani, and another Lakshmanan. The bodies of three of them have been recovered.

The accident occurred at 3:05 PM near the Kochi Bridge, just past the Shornur railway station. All four victims were contract workers. Indications suggest that they were not aware of the train’s approach. The police are investigating further details about the incident, including whether there were more people with them. The police have arrived at the scene, and the bodies of the three individuals have been taken to the hospital.
