President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi Express Condolences on Sitaram Yechury’s Death

New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have expressed their condolences on the passing of CPI(M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury. Yechury was a distinct voice both as a student leader and as a parliamentarian in national politics. President Murmu conveyed her condolences to Yechury’s family and expressed sorrow at his passing.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed sorrow over the death of Sitaram Yechury, noting that Yechury was a guiding light for the leftist movement.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla also extended his condolences, wishing that Yechury’s family find the strength to cope with this loss.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee expressed grief over Yechury’s passing, emphasizing that his loss is a significant blow to national politics
