Sitaram Yechury’s Body to be Moved for Public Viewing Before Being Donated to AIIMS

New Delhi: The body of Sitaram Yechury, who passed away yesterday, will be transported from AIIMS in Delhi to his residence in Vasant Kunj today. The body will be placed there for public viewing and will then be moved to the AKG Centre in Delhi tomorrow morning. From 11 AM to 3 PM tomorrow, the body will be available for public viewing at the party office. Following this, as per Yechury’s wishes, the body will be handed over to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi for medical studies.

As for the appointment of a new General Secretary, no decision has been made yet. There was no discussion on this matter in the available Politburo meeting held yesterday. A central committee meeting is scheduled for the end of this month. It will be clarified in the coming days whether a temporary appointment will be made before then.
