Chateauroux: In a historic achievement for Indian sports, Manu Bhaker secured her second medal at the current Olympic Games, becoming the first Indian athlete since independence to achieve this feat in a single edition of the Games. Bhaker’s remarkable journey continued as she, alongside her partner Sarabjot Singh, clinched the bronze medal in the 10m air pistol mixed team event, defeating South Korea with a score of 16-10.

Earlier in the Games, Bhaker had already made history by winning the bronze medal in the women’s 10m air pistol event, marking the first time an Indian woman shooter had won an Olympic medal.
