17 Dead and 41 Injured in Fire at Pharmaceutical Factory in Anakapalle

Visakhapatnam: In a fire at a pharmaceutical company in Anakapalle in Andhra Pradesh, 17 people died and 41 others have been injured. The fire occurred at the factory of Essience Advanced Science Private Limited. The initial assessment suggests that the explosion of a reactor at the factory caused the accident.

The critically injured individuals have been admitted to hospitals in Anakapalle and Achyutapuram. The incident occurred during lunchtime, which helped avoid a larger disaster. The police have identified three out of the seven deceased. Officials, including the labor minister and district collector, visited the accident site. The police have stated that they are investigating the cause of the accident.
