Chandigarh: The BJP has retained power for the third consecutive term in Haryana. The party has secured 48 seats for a simple majority. With the election results favoring the BJP, the party’s national president JP Nadda has called a meeting of general secretaries. The BJP has now entered discussions for government formation. Meanwhile, the Congress is in shock over a major twist in Haryana. Initially, the Congress appeared to be surpassing the simple majority, but the BJP later surged ahead. Following the BJP’s advance, celebrations at the Congress headquarters in Delhi have been halted. Similarly, celebrations within the Haryana Congress camp have also been stopped.

Exit polls had also predicted favorable outcomes for the Congress. However, the BJP achieved a hat-trick victory in Haryana.
