TPCC Leader Defends Nehru, Criticizes BJP’s Allegations as ‘Baseless Denigration

Date:

Hyderabad: The first prime minister and a profound diplomat Jawahar Lal Nehru, who had spent 3,259 days in jail for India’s freedom, does not deserve baseless denigration from either the BJP or Prime Minister Narendra Modi, ignoring the noble service and contribution of Jawaharlal Nehru to India. The BJP leaders do not have any moral right to speak lies about a person of such a genre, said TPCC working president T. Jayaprakash Reddy.

Addressing a press conference in Hyderabad on Friday, he said that the present crop of BJP leaders, including the PM and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, cannot understand under what circumstances the Congress led the freedom struggle and later, ruled the country in the most difficult circumstances after Independence.
