Thiruvananthapuram: BJP leader Padmaja Venugopal has supported Congress woman leader Simi Rosbel John’s allegations that positions in Congress are quickly granted only to favorites within the power group. She stated that this is not just Simi’s opinion but reflects the views of a significant number of female Congress workers. Padmaja praised Simi for her honesty in speaking out on the issue, expressing her appreciation on Facebook.
Simi Rosbel John alleged that an unqualified young woman suddenly received a Rajya Sabha seat and another woman was appointed as KPCC General Secretary because they are favorites of the power group. Padmaja condemned the personal attacks being directed at Simi by Congress members for speaking out about this issue.
Padmaja added that Simi’s opinion is shared by many other Congress leaders, and there is no doubt that they will also speak out about these matters in the future. She criticized the Congress for cyber-attacking and personally targeting Simi, calling these actions completely deplorable.
