Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan stated that there is no anti-government sentiment in the state and praised the victory in Chelakkara as a shining success. His comments came in a Facebook post after the by-election results.

In his statement, Pinarayi Vijayan emphasized that the propaganda of anti-government sentiment had not influenced the people. He also pointed out that malicious propaganda and baseless attacks had been disregarded by the public. The election result in Chelakkara has further strengthened the people’s support and endorsement of the government. The Chief Minister also mentioned that votes were cast against communalism in Palakkad.

The by-election results have solidified the LDF government’s support and approval from the people. The people of Chelakkara, by rejecting organized misinformation and attacks, have given a resounding victory to the Left Democratic Front (LDF). In Palakkad, more voters rallied behind the LDF compared to previous elections. The Chief Minister said that the public mandate would provide renewed energy to push forward with development and welfare activities more vigorously in the coming days. The LDF received a secular vote that was against all forms of communalism. The election results deliver a message on the need to promote secular politics without compromise, while openly rejecting communalism, the Chief Minister added.
