Palakkad: Amid the controversy surrounding his autobiography, E.P. Jayarajan will travel to Palakkad tomorrow to campaign for LDF candidate Sarin. This move comes after remarks in his autobiography criticizing Sarin, which led to the CPM’s response. E.P. Jayarajan will address a public meeting related to the election campaign, as confirmed by CPM’s Palakkad District Secretary, E.N. Suresh Babu.
In his autobiography, E.P. Jayarajan mentions the need to discuss the issue of opportunistic politics and also comments on the LDF candidate in Palakkad. He states that Sarin had been hopeful of contesting as a UDF candidate until the day before, but when that did not materialize, Sarin made a shift in allegiance.
E.P. Jayarajan further reflects on the idea of capitalizing on divisions within political rivals, noting that such opportunities have often been beneficial, but also acknowledging that there are risks. He mentions that the situation is not without its challenges, with P.V. Anwar being one such example. He suggests that decisions regarding political appointments should be made with careful consideration.
Regarding Sarin’s candidacy, E.P. Jayarajan concludes that whether it was the right decision or not will be determined by time.
