“Sitaram Yechury Was a Guardian of the Idea of India”: Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi: Lok Sabha Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi expressed his condolences on the death of CPI(M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury. In a message shared on Instagram, Rahul Gandhi stated that Sitaram Yechury was both a friend and a guardian of the idea of India. “He had a deep understanding of our country. I will miss the long discussions we used to have. I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and supporters during this sorrowful time,” Rahul wrote.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh expressed his condolences on the passing of Sitaram Yechury: “In his long public life, he distinguished himself as a well-known parliamentarian with knowledge and ideas. He was also a friend with whom I interacted frequently. I will always remember the moments I spent with him. My condolences to his family and admirers on his passing.”

Central Minister Nitin Gadkari also expressed deep sorrow at the loss: “There is a profound grief at the passing of Sitaram Yechury. His contributions to public life will always be remembered. Heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones during this difficult time.”
