Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan Extends Independence Day Greetings

Thiruvananthapuram: In a message extending Independence Day greetings to everyone, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan stated that the country is entering its seventy-eighth year of independence and that Independence Day is a day of joy and pride for every Indian.

“Who is not filled with joy and pride when recalling the freedom struggle that toppled imperialism through anti-colonial battles and the brave patriots who fought for freedom?” the Chief Minister said. “However, we are not in a situation where we can rejoice fully. The natural disaster in Wayanad has plunged our land into grief. We offer our heartfelt tributes to the memories of those who lost their lives in the disaster.
