Kozhikode: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has reiterated his criticism of Pannakkad Sadikkali Thangal. He clarified that the criticism was not directed at Sadikkali Thangal personally but at his political stance. The Chief Minister further stated that the responsibility for the political positions of the Muslim League rests with its president, Sadikkali Thangal.
To cool down the anger, Pannakkad Thangal went to Ottappalam. However, no one came to meet him. The Chief Minister questioned whether the League had learned anything from this experience. He added that the League had changed into a party that, to maintain power, was willing to do many things that were previously unthinkable.
The Chief Minister stated that the League was previously unwilling to cooperate significantly with Jama’at-e-Islami and SDPI. “It is only now that the League has shifted to that position,” he added. Speaking about this change, the Chief Minister mentioned the current president of the League, Pannakkad Sadikkali Thangal. He clarified that his criticism was not directed at Sadikkali Thangal personally but at the political stance of the League. The remarks were made after inaugurating the Kozhikode CPM area committee office.
