Terrorist threat; The county police has assured full security for the India-Pak match

New York’s first female governor, Kathy Hochul, has also ensured security through her X account.
The county police responded to the threat issued by pro-Islamic State group ISIS-K against the India-Pakistan T20 Cricket World Cup match. The county police commissioner assured that the force has taken adequate measures to ensure security and the safest place would be Nassau Stadium in New York.

This is what I can assure you, the safest place in Nassau County on June 9 will be the India-Pak Stadium,” the commissioner said.

New York’s first female governor, Kathy Hochul, has also ensured security through her X account. “We will work closely with federal and local law enforcement to ensure the safety of those attending the Cricket World Cup. Although there is no credible threat at this time, the New York Police Department has been directed to increase security measures.” Kathy X wrote.

The threat circulated on social media, including a poster from a pro-ISIS group. The threat came with the date of the India-Pak match and the name of the stadium. The India-Pakistan match will be played at the Eisenhower Park Stadium in New York on June 9 at 8 pm IST.
