“Thrissur Pooram Has Not Been Disurbed”: CM Pinarayi Vijayan

Date:

Kozhikode: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan clarified that the Thrissur Pooram has not been disturbed; the only issue was a slight delay in the fireworks. Is this what they call disturbing the Pooram?”. CM responded during the book release function in Kozhikode.

In response to the ADGP Ajith Kumar’s meeting with RSS leaders, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan again clarified, “It is claimed that a police officer met with an RSS leader. Isn’t it the League that is saying this while referring to the national secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami, who was the former Amir of Kerala, putting his hand on the shoulder of an RSS leader during discussions?”

The Chief Minister’s remarks come at a time when an investigation related to the Pooram controversy is ongoing. Previously, he had stated that actions would be taken after receiving the investigation report.

However, it is noteworthy that the Chief Minister defended the ADGP before the report was received. During the event, he also sharply criticized both the Muslim League and Jamaat-e-Islami.
