Tel Aviv: Tensions between Israel and Hezbollah have surged following a series of violent incidents on Saturday. An Israeli airstrike on southern Lebanon resulted in the deaths of three Hezbollah members. In retaliation, rockets were fired from Lebanon into the Israeli-controlled Golan Heights, hitting a soccer field in the Druze village of Majdal Shams.

The rocket attack, which occurred in the evening, killed at least 10 people and injured several others, including children. This incident marks the deadliest attack on an Israeli target since the outbreak of hostilities between the two sides earlier this month.

Hezbollah has denied responsibility for the Majdal Shams attack, asserting that their actions were limited to targeting an Israeli military base in response to Israeli strikes on a Lebanese village.

The Israeli military, however, has attributed the rocket strike to Hezbollah, describing it as an act of terrorism that resulted in significant civilian casualties. In a statement, Israeli officials condemned the attack and highlighted the severe impact on innocent lives.

The escalation has heightened fears of a broader regional conflict, as both sides continue to exchange hostilities. The international community is closely monitoring the situation, with growing concerns over the potential for further violence and humanitarian repercussions.
