Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the US on September 21 to participate in the annual Quad summit and address the ‘Future Summit’ at the UN General Assembly. The Prime Minister’s visit will last for three days. The Ministry of External Affairs has announced that he will attend the Quad summit hosted by US President Joe Biden in Wilmington, Delaware, on the 21st. The summit will review the progress made by the Quad over the past year and discuss the primary needs for the coming years to achieve the development goals of countries in the Indo-Pacific region.
India was supposed to host the Quad summit this year, but the opportunity was handed over following a request from the US. Meanwhile, the Quad summit in 2025 will be held in India.
