Beirut: Following a series of pager explosions, walkie-talkies exploded in Hezbollah’s stronghold in Lebanon, killing 20 people and injuring 450 others. The explosion occurred during the funeral of the son of a Hezbollah MP who was killed in a pager explosion the previous day. The blast took place in Dahiya, a Hezbollah stronghold near the capital Beirut. Women and children were among those attending the funeral. Reports suggest that the walkie-talkies, which Hezbollah had acquired five months ago, exploded. Similar explosions have also been reported in other locations apart from Dahiya. Hezbollah has blamed Israel for the walkie-talkie explosions.
