Be it coach or institution, choose wisely: Sourav Ganguly

Date:

The new head coach will be appointed after the T20 World Cup in USA and West Indies next month

Cricket lovers are in awe of who will be the next head coach of the Indian men’s cricket team. Rahul Dravid’s tenure as the current captain ends after the World Cup T20 matches. BCCI has also recently invited applications for the coaching post. After this, there are heated discussions about the position of coach, including on social media.

Now former Indian player Sourav Ganguly has come out with a response on the issue. “The importance of a coach in one’s life, their guidance and constant training shapes the future of any individual on and off the field. So choose the coach and the institution wisely…” Ganguly noted in X.

Meanwhile, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has received more than 3,000 applications for the coaching post. But most of these are bogus applications in the names of former cricketers and politicians. BCCI has received several fake applications in the names of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni.

From May 13, BBCI has started inviting applications for the post of coach. The opportunity is provided to apply through Google Forms. Currently the authorities are struggling to find out which are the fake applications and which are genuine.
