Date:

Kochi: The drug case against gangster leader Om Prakash has extended to Malayalam film actors. According to the police remand report, film stars Prayag Martin and Srinath Bhasi visited Om Prakash’s hotel room. The report clarifies that around 20 individuals, including women, were present in Om Prakash’s room. The notorious gangster Om Prakash and his associate Shihas were arrested recently with narcotic substances at a star hotel in Kundannur, Ernakulam. The police remand report was submitted while the court was considering the bail plea of the accused. The Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate court granted bail to the accused due to the inability to present sufficient evidence. The police have recovered narcotics and liquor bottles from these individuals, who are involved in multiple cases.

Meanwhile, the police are gathering more evidence regarding the arrival of individuals, including film stars, at the hotel room suspected of drug dealings. The Maradu police will examine the CCTV footage from the hotel. The police have indicated that NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) charges have been filed in the case.

The accused were staying in a room booked under the name Bobby Chalapathi. Those in nearby rooms reportedly held a DJ party on Saturday. The report states that Srinath Bhasi and Prayag arrived at the hotel on the same day. The police have obtained evidence of cocaine use from the room.
