Thamarassery: Two people have been arrested based on the complaint of a woman from Puthuppadi, who alleged that she was forced into performing a nude ritual. The arrested individuals are PK Prakasan (46) from Adivaram Melepotikkay and V Shamir (40) from Adivaram Vazhayil.
According to the complaint, Shamir advised the woman to perform a nude ritual to resolve her family issues and for prosperity, while Prakasan, posing as the ritualist, forced her to participate. Despite repeatedly refusing their demands, the harassment continued, leading the woman to approach the police.
The arrests were made by a team led by Thamarassery Police Inspector A. Sayooj Kumar. Both the accused were later presented before the Thamarassery JFMC court and were remanded.
