Kochi: Actor Idavela Babu has been arrested in the case of actress molestation. After questioning him for over three hours, the special investigation team recorded his arrest. He will be released on bail as he had previously received anticipatory bail. Two complaints have been filed against Idavela Babu, alleging that he misbehaved with a junior artist, inviting her to a flat under the pretense of offering membership in the AMMA organization and that he spoke to her inappropriately. The Ernakulam North police station and the Kozhikode Nadakavu police have registered cases against him based on these complaints. Recently, actor and MLA Mukesh was also arrested by the special investigation team in a sexual harassment case but was released on bail. Meanwhile, the special investigation team is expanding its inquiry based on the Hem committee report and is expected to take statements from former office bearers of the AMMA organization.
