The team behind the Tamil film “Thangalaan,” starring Vikram, has decided to cancel promotional events in Kerala and donate the promotional expenses to the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund due to the massive landslide in Wayanad. This decision comes in response to the recent tragedy.
Gokulam Movies, the film’s Kerala distributor, shared this news on social media. Vikram had previously contributed ₹20 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund, acknowledging the severity of the disaster and expressing his sorrow.
“Thangalaan” is eagerly awaited by cinema enthusiasts. Updates about the film, a collaboration between Pa Ranjith and Vikram, have generated significant excitement among fans.
Produced by Studio Green and Nilam Productions, “Thangalaan” is a historical action drama with Vikram portraying a tribal leader. The film also features Malayalam actors Parvathy Thiruvothu and Malavika Mohanan in key roles, along with Pasupathy, Daniel, and Harikrishnan Anbudurai in other important roles.
